Good Morning Frankfurt

Well after 24 hours I arrived in Frankfurt, the plane trip was good except for the guy beside me cutting the cheese every 10 minutes, I made started making the old "Whoa what’s that smell" out loud , it made no difference as he kept chugging away, at one point I almost turned to the girl beside me and told her "Hey that’s not me" we also wrestled to "own" the arm of the seat, I was on first but he had in his mind that I was a 12 year old boy and there is no way I needed the arm rest, I felt the old elbow pressure come on..Ahhh you want to play that game! He gave up after two hours...got to give it to the old fella he stuck in there for a while...well it’s not if I actually have much choice, I cannot make my shoulders contort like a Chinese circus star!

I was kindly picked up by REHAU and arrived at the office for presentation and breakfast...fresh Pretzels and coffee..What a welcome! I didn't realise but they had organised a ride up the Bavarian hills to a place for lunch, I was a bit worried as I had not even seen my bike let alone actually started it? considering I had not really slept for over 24hrs I was not really thinking straight, down stairs I saw my bike, I hooked up the battery and hoped like anything that it would actually start, well there were about seven bikers all standing waiting to start the ride...nothing like a bit of pressure to get over your jet lag!!...Vrooommm yeah baby it actually started, I filled it up with Gas and inflated the flat tyres, one of the guys shouted me the tank of gas, I was very pleased as it was about 22 Euros....oh South America I miss you and your gas Price!

Preparing the bike to leave the office

Well I now have limited funds so this part of the trip is going to be very "Budget" I would have loved a hotel considering the Jet lag, fortunately I found a campsite about six kilometres from the office, thank you Mr GPS, I set up the tent and collapsed around 9.00pm and woke about 6.00am the next morning, it rained most of the night and I packed everything wet as I had to go and find a mechanic to do some repairs on "Mr Wilson" or the box of bananas!

Very nice Hostel with parking somewhere outside Frankfurt?

The Mechanic that was recommended to me was a motorcycle racer and apparently people come from other cites just to get there bike repaired by him, I wasn’t disappointed, Torston worked on my bike for three and a half hours and charged me just a hundred Euro, I would have loved to do this work myself but with only one working hand it would have been difficult, he replaced the head bearings and both rear and front wheel bearings, I also noticed the water pump which was replaced at BMW Argentina was leaking again!..Not bad for 10 hours of use!!

Well after a fantastic Euro breakfast of Coffee, Salami, cheese and fresh hot bread rolls I am heading north.
