The Americas

Well after 10 months,14 countries, 52,000km, 2500 litres of petrol, two crashes, a broken wrist and many great new friends I have completed the Americas, I am now back in Sydney after having my wrist pinned as it was not healing, well that what happens when you continue to ride a bike so heavy with a broken bone, I really had no choice as we were running out of time to get to the bottom of south America and after so far there was no way I was not finishing the trip.

Self portrait just after my fall in the Andes (Peru) at 4500 metres

The bike looking a little bit worst for wear

The dirts scars on the back of my Jacket, I'm gald I invested in a great jacket as most would have been torn apart, there were actually very sharp rocks on the road.

Not sure how but the finger was wrenched and cut, it may have been a stone?

I was lucky I was riding with Brian at the time as he came back up the road to help, but first rule of adventure riding you need to pose for a portrait at the scene of crime.

My ripped finger

Getting stiched up in a small village about 50km from the accident.

The wrist after the operation to pin the broken Scaphoid bone three months later

Wrapped and ready for Germany
